The Journey

Blend out. Never blend in.

The Mission

We’re built on a bedrock of no compromise, for absolute quality.

It impacts everything we do, and dyes the fabric of how we operate.

We play fair, wear our hearts on our sleeves, and do the right things for our crew, community and planet. We roast coffee our way, playing on roasting standards and messing with the roasting curve. It’s all about pushing possibilities and crafting unique, characterful profiles.

Craftstack

Our remastered sourcing programme.

We set standards, make change, and spearhead a fair and transparent approach to coffee. One that builds genuine relationships, rewards quality, and ripples across the wider coffee community.

We’ve agreed on the quality foundations, set expectations for our green coffee partners, established a ‘filter’ that dictates how we channel our coffee purchases, and made commitments to make change as a result. Progress made, but there’s still more to do.

QUALITY PREVAILS.

We prioritise smallholdings and those farms striving to do better. We form long-term relationships, and repeat-purchase harvests to support our incredible producers.

Continued cooperation, harvest-to-harvest makes us all better, bonded, and is the way we forge forward.

The Crew Code

Keep tight. Be obsessed. Stay grounded. Never settle. Teach, don't preach. It’s our crew code and it keeps us on track. It’s how we show the world how good coffee can be.

Specialty Coffee Guaranteed

We only work with high-grade 100% Arabica beans, and we always pay a premium. We can pinpoint exactly where our beans come from and who produces them. We prioritise smallholdings, form long-term relationships, and repeat-purchase harvests to support our producers. We only partner with people and organisations who are as committed as we are. No exceptions, no shortcuts.

Roasted To Imperfection

We roast our way, considering every turn of the drum, playing on roasting standards and stressing ‘the curve’. We roast and hand pack every order, to order, for freshness and peak flavour profiles. That’s why our blends and single origin beans pack a punch. For unmistakable brews that blend out, not in.

Roast rituals.

At 10 am every morning, while the roasting drum slowly heats up, we slurp coffee on repeat giving a knowing nod to the craft, making sure the beans are bang-on and free to leave the Roastery. Tasting tells tales.

Real World Rebellion

Profit grants possibility, we get that. For the benefit of all those connected to us, we look to make fair, sensible choices that strike a balance for all.

There’s a lot at stake. We make marginal gains, take big leaps, and are committed to continuously improving. We stay accountable, take responsibility and try to do the right things.

Our Impact - People

We’re dedicated to making a positive impact on coffee communities around the world. Through our work with Living Vital, we bring people from different backgrounds together via community allotments and Roastery exchanges.

We also invest in Project Waterfall, an initiative that provides fresh water to coffee-growing communities at origin. Most importantly, we believe that fair pay reflects real world standards. That’s why we’re signed up to, and committed to paying, the Real Living Wage. It’s only right.

Our Impact - Product

We support World Coffee Research, a non-profit body on a mission to protect, grow and enable the future of coffee. Our contribution drives science-based agricultural efforts and helps to define quality, climate-resilient coffee. For the generations to come.

To reduce waste downstream, we use 100% recyclable LDPE4 materials, mixed with 30% post-consumer recycled plastics in most of our packs. We also have FSC approved board in our boxes, and work with the World Land Trust with our packaging partners.

Our Impact - Planet

We beat the drum for do-gooding, not signalling. We give 1% of all sales to environmental associations around the world through our partnership with 1% For The Planet. But we don’t and won’t stop there.

We also help fund the restoration of peatlands and woodlands in the UK through the Forest Carbon initiative, and feed grapevines in the South Downs with our high nitrogen used coffee grounds and chaff.

Buy. Brew. Repeat.
